ydney Thunder are set to become the first KFC Big Bash League club to run a carbon-neutral match when they welcome the Thunder Nation to ENGIE Stadium tonight. In collaboration with ENGIE Stadium, the club calculated their carbon footprint through Sydney Showground's Climate Conscious Event initiative partner Clima, and purchased an equivalent amount of carbon credits with ENGIE Stadium to offset the impact. 

Sydney Showground and the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS of NSW) have launched an exciting venue upgrade, opening a brand-new sensory room, adult assisted change room and updated parent room to enhance comfort, accessibility, and inclusivity for all visitors attending events at its venue.  Located on Grand Parade, the facilities will be available for select Sydney Showground events including the Big Bash League which kick-starts this Saturday, Green Day - The Saviors Tour happening in March, and the RAS’ hallmark agricultural event, the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.

ENGIE Stadium has today been announced as the Sydney venue for the highly anticipated return of global rock legends, Green Day, as they return to Australia in March 2025 for the first time in eight years.
