MESSAGE FROM KIM-LAURA
Happy New Year from all of us here at Sydney Showground. We hope that you enjoyed the holidays.
We've had a big start to 2008 with filming of the new Gladiators series now taking place in The Dome. The event is really making the most of this magnificant venue - it looks simply amazing as the action-packed Gladiator arena. Keep an eye on Channel Seven for when the series starts screening later in the year.
Sydney Showground is a popular location for film and television shoots. With over 20 diverse and versatile venues set within Sydney Olympic Park the possibilities are endless. If you would like to see for yourself what we have to offer, please get in touch with our Business Development team today on 02 9704 1263 or sales@sydneyshowground.com.au to arrange a site tour.

THE GLADIATORS ARE COMING!
Sydney Showground’s signature venue, The Dome, has recently undergone a transformation into a spectacular 21st century Gladiator arena.
The Gladiators show is coming to Channel Seven soon – it’s the ultimate sports entertainment and not for the faint-hearted.
Watch all the high-energy action as a new generation of physically-elite Gladiators takes to the arena, displaying their incredible brute strength, speed, agility and stamina in a variety of classic battles, including favourites such as Hang Tough, Pyramid, Powerball and the Gauntlet.
The Dome is an architecturally dynamic backdrop for any event. As the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere it is the perfect setting for the Gladiators arena.
“The arena feels like a modern day Colosseum and it has a mighty atmosphere to match the explosive games being played between Gladiator and Challenger,” says Tom Williams, who will host the show alongside Zoe Naylor.
Get ready to be thunderstruck by the mighty Gladiators!
NEVEREVERLAND AT THE MAIN ARENA
On Saturday 22 December, Sydney Showground’s Main Arena played host to one of the most successful electronic music collaborations of all time, Daft Punk.
Presented by Michael Coppel and Modular, tickets to Sydney leg of the ‘NEVEREVERLAND' tour sold out within minutes. The 30,000 strong crowd in the Main Arena enjoyed the French robotic duo’s classics including Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, Around the World and One More Time set to spectacular stage and lighting effects including the famous neon pyramid.
Located at the centre of Sydney Showground, the Main Arena is an excellent open area that’s ideal for concerts as well as corporate team building activities and sporting events. The Main Arena has three seating levels in the grandstand and tiered grass banks.
