BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS TO COME!
Work to transform Sydney Showground’s Main Arena into a boutique stadium has begun. The upgrade of the Arena is a major step forward in helping Sydney attract and retain major sporting and leisure events. Seating capacity of the Main Arena will increase from 13,000 to 25,000, and associated amenities including hospitality, turf and media facilities will also be upgraded.

PETER THORPE APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER EVENT & VENUE OPERATIONS
General Manager Event & Venue Operations Peter Thorpe joins the team from Sydney Turf Club where he held the position of General Manager, Operations, Catering and Customer Service. He brings over 31 years experience from the venue, events and catering industry to the role, which will be invaluable in the coming months as the Main Arena is redeveloped.
