Posted on : 19 August 2019

More than 30,000 K-9 enthusiasts attended the Sydney Dog Lovers Show held at Sydney Showground this August, breaking the attendance record for its 6th Show and making it the most successful event since its 2014 inception.

Sydney Dog Lovers have announced 30,772 guests came through the gate to celebrate their passion for man’s best friend including pet lovers from regional NSW, the ACT, and other Australian states.

Sydney Dog Lovers Show Founder, Jason Humphris said the move to Sydney Showground was a great success.

“The positive feedback from dog lovers and the pet industry has been overwhelming,” Mr Humphris said.

“The Sydney event will continue to grow in size and stature thanks to a fantastic new home, our dedicated, experienced and hard-working team, committed stakeholders, and a sector that is passionate about presenting a major event that showcases their unique industry in NSW each year.”

Almost doubling in size, Sydney Showground provided the ideal venue space for the event, as Sydney Dog Lovers embraced its expansion through increased catering options, seating space and a bigger than ever outdoor entertainment area.

Sixty shows and talks were on offer, while 200 exhibitors showcased their latest products across The Dome and Hall 2, with activations on Riverina Ave and Woodchop Arena expanding the experience across the grounds.

Sydney Showground Head of Sales, Andrew Roberts said Sydney Dog Lovers Show delivered a fantastic event and he looks forward to doing it all again next year.

“The success of an event should be attributed to many but I am proud of the service we delivered. I congratulate the event team and Jason for such an outstanding event - bring on 2020,” Mr Roberts said.
