Sydney Showground is thrilled to have been announced as the new home of the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show, presented by ASICS, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Australia’s most anticipated running events.

Taking place over three days this August, the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show will see Sydney Showground transform into the central hub for race week, offering a dedicated space for participants to prepare, and connect with fellow runners, supporters and industry leaders, in the lead-up to the event.

Offering increased space and a more flexible layout, Sydney Showground will deliver an elevated experience for 2026, creating new opportunities for participants and the wider running community to interact with brands, activations, and innovative technology shaping the future of endurance sport.

Our team is excited to welcome the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show to its new home at Sydney Showground”, said Darryl Jeffrey, General Manager Sydney Showground.

“This is an event all about energy, community and connection, and our precinct is uniquely designed to bring that to life with the space, flexibility and world-class facilities to support an experience of this scale. It’s an exciting addition to our events calendar and a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything our precinct has to offer.

“Sydney Olympic Park has long been at the heart of Australia’s biggest sporting moments, including the finish of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games marathon, so it’s a natural home for an event like the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show. There’s a real sense of history and legacy here, and it adds another layer of significance to the event, connecting today’s runners with the history of sport in this precinct”.

The TCS Sydney Marathon continues to build on its global reputation, proudly entering its second year as an Abbott World Marathon Major and reinforcing its place among the world’s leading running events.

As part of the event experience, all race participants will need to collect their bibs at the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show during designated hours, with extended evening sessions on Thursday and Friday offering added flexibility.

Participants and volunteers will also receive a dedicated TCS Sydney Marathon travel pass, valid across all public transport modes for the duration of the Running Show. Sydney Trains will operate a dedicated Marathon Express service between Central and Olympic Park Stations, running every 30 minutes during opening hours to support seamless access to the event.

Sydney Showground looks forward to welcoming the global running community for an unforgettable event experience.
