Sydney, prepare for maximum pressure!
Sydney Showground has unveiled a refreshed brand identity that reflects both the evolution of the business and its vision for the future, reinforcing its position as Sydney’s most versatile destination for live events.
Built on more than two centuries of history, the brand reflects Sydney Showground’s ability to continually adapt to the changing needs of the events industry, while celebrating the diversity of events that fill its precinct year-round from sport and live entertainment to exhibitions and corporate events.
At its heart is the proposition, "Where Sydney Comes Alive", recognising Sydney Showground as a place where people come together, industries connect, and memorable experiences are shared.
Darryl Jeffrey, General Manager of Sydney Showground, said the rebrand was designed to better reflect the scale, diversity and evolution of the business.
“We felt there was an opportunity to tell a richer story about Sydney Showground, and we wanted to balance our history with a much more contemporary expression of who we are today”, said Jeffrey.
“The business has evolved significantly over the past few years. We’re reaching new audiences and we’ve become increasingly focused not just on the quality of the physical spaces we provide, but on the experiences we create for our clients and guests.
“For generations, people have come here to compete, perform, celebrate, exhibit, do business, watch sport, experience live music and, of course, attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Our venues ultimately come alive because of the people who use them and the experiences and memories created within them, and we wanted the new identity to capture that.”
Central to Sydney Showground’s success are three core strengths: distinctive experiences, seamless engagement and genuine customer focus, positioning the precinct as a trusted partner for organisers, exhibitors and attendees alike.
These qualities are expressed through the new visual identity, with the new logo drawing inspiration from the precinct’s iconic Dome and a diverse colour palette reflecting the energy, vibrancy and rich heritage of Sydney Showground.
While the brand looks to the future, it remains very proud of, and deeply connected to, its roots within the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, and the generations of people, events and experiences that have shaped its history.
“We’re very proud of our RAS heritage, and our vision is for Sydney Showground to continue establishing itself as one of Australia's great event precincts, while never losing the character and history that make this place different”, said Jeffrey.
“That means continuing to attract major events to Sydney, investing in our venues and infrastructure, embracing technology and sustainability, and ensuring Sydney Showground continues to evolve with the city and the industries we serve.
"Generations of people have created memories at Sydney Showground and our responsibility is to make sure that continues for the next generation. That's ultimately the ambition behind "Where Sydney Comes Alive."
