AGHA set to return to Sydney Showground this February

Posted on 17th January 2022

The Australian Gift and Homewares Association has announced the return of its AGHA Sydney Gift Fair, with the event set to kick-start the Sydney Showground exhibition season in February.

Running from 18 – 21 February 2022, the iconic trade event will be adapting to the 'new norm' in a bid to support the gift and homewares industry while delivering a COVID-Safe event that puts its visitors, exhibitors, and contractors first.

To ensure the safety of stakeholders, AGHA will adopt rigorous COVID-Safe protocols and procedures, increase open spaces and aisleways and enhance social distancing opportunities.

AGHA's CEO, Wayne Castle, stated "continually cancelling business-to-business events would lead to a huge shift and downturn in the way people market their businesses, make sales and communicate with clients and suppliers. As the leading industry Association in the gift and homewares sector, it is incumbent on AGHA to help the industry thrive in a new norm".

For the first time in two years, AGHA Sydney Gift Fair visitors will be able to source new season products, expand product ranges and negotiate with suppliers at a live face-to-face event held at Sydney Showground.

Sydney Showground General Manager, Darryl Jeffrey, said "Having been by AGHA's side for over twenty years, the Sydney Showground team are delighted to welcome back the AGHA Sydney Gift Fair this February and work with the team to deliver a covid-safe event which supports not only the gift and homewares sector but also exhibitions and trades events.

"As we all continue to navigate events in a changing world, Sydney Showground will adapt with our clients, providing the extra support and collaboration needed between venue and organiser to help deliver exciting and safe events in 2022 and beyond."
