Spring event season is well and truly underway at Sydney Showground, with many Sydneysiders flocking to the dynamic venue this weekend to attend one of four incredible events on offer, including the much-anticipated Jurassic World: The Exhibition, which kicks off this Friday.

From immersing themselves into the realms of prehistoric animals and pop culture at Jurassic World: The Exhibition and Oz Comic Con, to indulging in the finer things in life at the Grape, Grain & Graze Festival, and the Cake, Bake and Sweets Show, there really is something for everyone this weekend.

Coinciding with the start of school holidays, Sydney Showground General Manager, Darryl Jeffrey, says he can’t wait to see the venue humming with action this weekend as people get out and enjoy themselves.

“Spring has already signalled the start of consumer events and festivals in Sydney, but I think this weekend we’ll really see that kick-start with families getting out and celebrating the start of the school holidays,” Darryl Jeffrey said.

“As our team execute four incredible consumer events simultaneously including the new Jurassic World: The Exhibition, there is no doubt the venue will be buzzing with action”. 

The much-anticipated Jurassic World: The Exhibition roars to life on Friday, offering visitors an immersive experience into the realm of prehistoric animals and the chance to get up close and personal with life-sized moving dinosaurs. The exhibition will continue for the next few months, with limited tickets still available for these school holidays.

In a much smaller window of opportunity, Oz Comic Con is returning to Sydney Showground for this weekend only, welcoming fanatics of all ages, interests, and pop-culture obsessions for the popular two-day event.

For the fine food and wine lovers, the Grape, Grain & Graze Festival is happening this Saturday only, from 2pm, allowing guests to sip, sample, and savour their way through a showcase of award-winning wines, beers, ciders, cheese, and fine food from the 2023 Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows. Only a handful of tickets remain for this culinary experience.

The sweet tooths have not been forgotten with the Cake, Bake and Sweets Show inviting visitors to tempt their tastebuds from Friday through to Sunday, and meet the best pastry chefs, bakers, and chocolatiers from around the world.

With a prime location right next to Sydney Olympic Park station, the venue is encouraging attendees to all this weekend’s events to pre-book parking or leave the car at home and utilise public transport.
